This mini group tour of half-day in Aptera, shows you the archaelogical site and offers you greek calligraphy education as no one else!
Before the workshop is very important to explore together the ancient site of Aptera, wander around the Roman ruins, the roman baths, the ancient theater, the old church with the abandoned monastery and more around. This tour will show you the ancient greek inscriptions and will help you to understand the ancient greek letters.
After this excursion you will have the unique opportunity to participate an one-hour workshop and learn ancient greek calligraphy by Lena Septemvri, Greek calligrapher. You will learn the ancient greek alphabet, ancient words and your name written in ancient greek letters.
At the last part of our trip you will taste delicious traditional cretan food and sweets and you will experience the cretan hospitality in a village close to Aptera.
At the end we have a small surprise for you.
In our trip you will have a whole educational experience from the ancient Cretan culture untill the culture of nowadays.

We explore the whole site, the Romans ruins and baths, the ancient theater, the church and the abandoned monastery. At the ancient theater, Lena will gives you a small experience of the very first ancient script, linear A & B from Lena.
Duration 2 hours
Lena will teach you the ancient calligraphy letters. At the end of the workshop you will know how to write small words and of course your name. At the end, Lena will write your name on the certification with ancient greek letters.
Duration 1 hour or just a little bit more depending of your questions
Time to relax, have fun, get know each other much better, exprerience the greek hospitality from local people, and of course, taste the delicious and healthy food of Cretan cusine.
